Photography

One of my passions is photography, and partly with the reuse of old camera equipment in the digital world. I have learned something by it - it's the artists that matters in the end, not technology. Well, that migh sound obvious if your an artist, but there's a lot of people out there that buy more and more expensive cameras in the belief that they'll take better pictures. Study art instead.

Art, not documentary

Photos is just another way to express your artistic vision, don't think of it as documentary. Use the camera as a pencil or brush. Capture the light and atmosphere. Make the viewer feel what you feel. Think of compisition, framing the image and so on.

My photos

My camera os most often directed to the landscape around me, mostly because I can see the beauty where I live. As with drawings I look for special light. Sometimes I do portraits and other motifs.

I have had an exhibition which was exclusively photos, images created with cheap old lenses in a digital world. Some of my thoughts on technology you can read in the post about photography with manual lenses on my website Retrocamera.
