Mattias Wirf

My
name is Mattias Wirf and art has been a part of my whole life (1975 -
now). I started painting and drawing as a boy in the 80's, went to
artschool in the early 90's. Earned my living as a portraitpainter for
a while, before I startad a career as webdesigner and teacher. Now I'm
back to art with drawing and photography.
I live in the middle of Sweden with my wife and little daughter. You might see them on portraits on this site once in a while.
Photography
Outdoors in the woods at dawn I'm happy. When the dim blue light of the hills where I live makes everything silent, soft and beautiful. That's the perfect time both for photography and healing the soul. Only I and the animals are awake. I use my old lenses on a digital camera and try to catch the light.

Webdesign
I run a business developing websites and teaching webdesign to others. Need help with your SBI-site? You can hire me to create your layout. With my artistic background I have knowledge in both the design and techniques (HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL etc). We can also provide images, illustrations and graphic design.
Other interests
Many subject in culture interest me - history, music, food, literature. As might be natural for a teacher I believe in approcahing life with curiosity.
